My name is Maëlys, and I have loved literature since I was a child. Books have always been a safe place but for a long time, I never dared to talk about this passion. I was afraid I was not knowledgeable enough, that I did not read the right books or use the right words.

With time, I realized something important: you do not need to be an expert to love literature. You only need curiosity, emotion, and the desire to explore stories. This is why I created Page 42, a free and welcoming space without fear of judgment. A place where beginners, occasional readers, and long-time literature lovers can all meet, share, and learn from one another.

Why Page 42?
In Douglas Adams’s The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, the number 42 is presented as the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything. I have always loved this idea, that a simple number can hold so much mystery and meaning. For me, it represents what literature does: it gives us endless questions, and sometimes surprising answers.

So welcome.
Here, we read together, think together, and discover new worlds together. This is a space for stories, conversations, and honest passion.
